HARRISBURG – United States Attorney David J. Freed and Dauphin County District Attorney Francis T. Chardo provide the following update after this afternoon’s press conference on the Harrisburg shooting.
As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Dauphin County it has always been my goal to provide transparency to our government and to give the public a channel for communicating with the police, free of intimidation. 12/31/2013 17:30- Borough Employees reported finding trash dumped at the Keystone St Recycling Center. On 1/4/2014, Daniel W. SMOOT, age 43 of Halifax Township was identified as the suspect responsible for some of the trash dumped at the recycling center. SMOOT was cited for the violation.
