HARRISBURG – United States Attorney David J. Freed and Dauphin County District Attorney Francis T. Chardo provide the following update after this afternoon’s press conference on the Harrisburg shooting.
As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Dauphin County it has always been my goal to provide transparency to our government and to give the public a channel for communicating with the police, free of intimidation. We can achieve this goal through technology and a commitment to better engage the public and to keep our community safe.

Tanisha Bailey was arrested for Burglary on September 2, 2016 @ 3:06 AM after she entered a house in the 200 blk of Mindy Drive. Bailey was naked and stole clothes from the home. She was confronted by the homeowner and taken into custody upon the arrival of the Lower Paxton Twp Police.
On August 06, 2016 Swatara Township Police were dispatched to Turkey Hill, 2885 Paxton Street Harrisburg, PA 17111, for reports of an employee stealing $1,000.31 in money orders. The employee, Tiara Nash-Johsnon, was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking.
On July 20, 2016 Swatara Township Police were dispatched to Walmart, 6535 Grayson Road Harrisburg, PA 17111, for reports of a female placing items in a cart and leaving the store without paying. The female, Shaquatta Brooks, was charged with retail theft.
On August 05, 2016 Maurice Robinson was stopped for a traffic violation. Robinson displayed indicators of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and for two traffic violations.
On 8/30/16 at 2047 hours, Harrisburg Police responded to a robbery at the Family Dollar located at 400 S. Cameron Street. Through the investigation it was determined that Alexander Mendez-Bruno entered the store and threatened the clerk with a knife if he did not give him all the money. Mendez-...
