HARRISBURG – United States Attorney David J. Freed and Dauphin County District Attorney Francis T. Chardo provide the following update after this afternoon’s press conference on the Harrisburg shooting.
As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Dauphin County it has always been my goal to provide transparency to our government and to give the public a channel for communicating with the police, free of intimidation. We can achieve this goal through technology and a commitment to better engage the public and to keep our community safe.

On 02-08-17 the Steelton Police conducted a traffic stop when they observed Justin Middleton driving under suspension. He was found to have marijuana on his person. He was taken to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for processing.
On 02-08-17 the Steelton Police along with members of the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office conducted a search in a residence located in the 600 block of North 2nd Street. Officers did arrest Victor Johnson with manufacturing and distributing a controlled substance.
On 02-07-17 the Steelton Police responded to a disturbance on the Locust Street steps. Officers did arrest a juvenile for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was released to his family with charges pending through the Dauphin County Juvenile Probation Office.
