Due to construction, North Union Street between Fulling Mill Road and 80th Street/Fiddlers Elbow Road will be closed daily from 7 PM to 5AM starting on May 26th, 2020. It is anticipated that the work will be completed in 30 days.

At approximately 245 pm on 5/18/2020 police were dispatched to the 400 block of Plane Street for 2 males, one being Hispanic wearing a flannel shirt and a black male wearing black pants, posing as Suez Water employees. They attempted to enter a home in the 400 block of Plane street under the disguise that they were there to fix a Suez water pipe that had burst. The homeowner found it suspicious as one of the males attempted to go to the back door. 

The Susquehanna Township Police Department celebrated Police Memorial Day today with a noon roll call. We were joined in this roll call by Detective Mike Proper (Retired), who was presented with a Purple Heart Medal from a past incident when he was seriously wounded at a Riot. This roll call ceremony was held in Honor of Lieutenant Robert McCallister, our fallen brother who this week was added to the Police Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. Real Estate Scams:  Residents that are purchasing a property and awaiting settlement will receive an email from a person posing as their realtor.  The email will state that they need to wire a large sum of money to be put into escrow to go forward with settlement.  Unfortunately, many wire the money and later discover that the email(s) and the recipient of the funds were not legitimate, and they are a victim of a scam.  The true realtor's email and the scam email are usually very similar with a character added and sometimes

The Lower Swatara Township Police has recently observed a rise in email scams. These scammers take advantage of victims by using the “fear for pay” tactic, also known as extortion. An email is usually sent to the victim containing a previously used password and a threat to “leak” embarrassing information about the victim in exchange for a payment.
