The Derry Township Police Department and other Dauphin County law enforcement agencies will be engaged in proactive enforcement efforts targeting impaired drivers during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.  

Make the right decision and plan for a safe ride home. The seats in a sober driver's vehicle are more comfortable than in our patrol car.


On 4/26/2019 Chevelle Morris called the Highspire Borough police department and reported that she has not seen her nephew, Dexter Stewart, since 4/24/2019. No one has had contact with Mr. Stewart since.

Mr. Stewart is a black male approx. 5'6", 170 lbs., black hair, brown eyes. Mr. Stewart is 26 years old.

West Chocolate Avenue (422) between Cocoa Avenue (743) and Valley Road is now open in both directions. Ridge Road between West Chocolate Avenue and Park Boulevard remains closed.

Power is being restored to the area. Businesses and residences are clear for people to return. Chocolate Avenue (422) will remain closed between Valley and Cocoa (743) so UGI can conduct repair work.

Power has been shut off in the downtown area of Hershey due to the natural gas leak. Please avoid this area. Please avoid uses of electrical devices and motor vehicles as they could be ignition sources.

Chocolate Avenue from Valley Road to Cocoa Avenue is closed due to a gas leak in the area. Please avoid this area.
