The intersection of West Main Street at Ann Street is currently shut down to any traffic traveling south towards Airport Drive. Please avoid going this direction. Expect delays for up to an hour.

Due to electrical issues the Borough is currently experiencing power outages. The Boroughs electrical department has been notified and is working on fixing these issues.

CitizensPlease be aware of a recent uptick in telephone scams.  There are various telephone scams that unsavory characters are facilitating throughout the area.  Some of these scams include:

1.  You receive a call stating they are the IRS and your owe back taxes.  The IRS will NEVER call you!  They communicate via the US MAIL.  

Milling and resurfacing work on Bullfrog Valley Road between Wood Rd and Roush Rd will result in daytime closures of portions of the roadway beginning Tuesday, June 11th. 

Portions of Bullfrog Valley Rd will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the hours of 7am-4pm daily (weather permitting and excluding weekends). Motorists are encouraged to use Waltonville and Sand Hill Roads during maintenance periods.

The project is scheduled to be completed during the week of June 24. ###

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Central Pennsylvania effective at 2:00pm and lasting until 10:00pm. An elevated risk for severe weather and flash flooding exists for our area for the remainder of today and Wednesday, 5/29.

The Derry Township Emergency Management Agency asks that all residents remain vigilant for changing weather conditions particularly those persons engaging in outdoor activities.  ###

The Juvenile Female broadcast from this morning has been removed. A family member for the found juvenile female has been located.

The Derry Township Police Department and other Dauphin County law enforcement agencies will be engaged in proactive enforcement efforts targeting impaired drivers during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.  

Make the right decision and plan for a safe ride home. The seats in a sober driver's vehicle are more comfortable than in our patrol car.


West Chocolate Avenue (422) between Cocoa Avenue (743) and Valley Road is now open in both directions. Ridge Road between West Chocolate Avenue and Park Boulevard remains closed.
