Harrisburg Police Still Seeking Leads in Recent Shooting

On 12/9/16 at 5:53 pm, Harrisburg Police responded to N 14th and Market Streets for a report of two males fighting, with one male being shot.  Upon arrival, officers found a black male lying on the ground on the northwest corner of that intersection. The victim had sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest.  He was transported to Hershey Medical Center and was rushed into surgery.  The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

Through the investigation it was determined that a black male approached the victim and demanded money. A fight ensued and that is when the victim was shot.  The victim could not provide a good description of the suspect due to the suddenness of the incident.
