Lower Swatara Police Seek Info on Deceased Dog Found in Township

From Lower Swatara Police:

On 2/15/18 at approx. 10:30am, a dead dog was found off of Richardson Road in a wooded area of Lower Swatara Township. The dog was a male Pitbull, black in color with white markings on his chest and paws. The dog was approximately 50 to 60 pounds.  He was not neutered and had a long tail.

No chip was detected in the dog and there was no collar. The dog was found wrapped in a colorful flower pattern blanket and stuffed inside a plastic tan colored kitchen size trash can. The dog had his ears cut off and he had numerous injuries that are consistent with dog fighting.  There appeared to be bite marks, scratches and puncture wounds all over the dog’s head and neck area.

It is suspected that the dog was dumped in Lower Swatara Township sometime between the evening hours of 2/14/18 and 10:30am on 2/15/18.

THERE IS A REWARD OF UP TO $2000 DOLLARS BEING OFFERED FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST OF THE PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE.  If you have information that can help police in this case, please submit a tip!
