Swatara Township Police Investigate Greenbelt Robbery



On 11/28/16 at 4:43 pm, Swatara Township Police responded to the 1200 block of South 28th Street for a reported robbery. Responding officers learned that a 25-year-old male was riding his bicycle at the entrance to the Greenbelt when he was approached by two males. One of the two males produced a handgun and demanded the victim's bicycle. The victim resisted and was assaulted by the two suspects. The suspects took the victim's bicycle and fled the area westbound on the Greenbelt towards 19th Street. The suspect with the gun was described as an 18-year-old black male with a "parted afro" wearing a blue jacket. The second suspect was described as a stocky 18-year-old Hispanic male wearing an orange jacket.
