Derry Township Police Department and Dauphin County District Attorney Edward M. Marsico, Jr., request assistance from the public in the ongoing investigation of the June 10, 2013, murder of Joyce Roth, age 87, in Derry Township.  Mrs. Roth died of a stab wound to the chest during an apparent burglary.  The Derry Township Police Department is the lead investigative agency.  A task force consisting of members of the Derry Township Police Department, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Lower Paxton Township Police Department has made substantial progress in the investigation.

            Authorities request anyone who observed the below vehicle on June 10 or 11, 2013, contact the Derry Township Police Department at 717-534-2202.  Investigators believe that the suspect vehicle was operated by an African American male in his 20s or 30s and is connected to the murder of Mrs. Roth.
