Day 2: Joint Law Enforcement Training Exercise Continues in Harrisburg
Day two of the Dauphin County Crisis Response Response Team (CRT) and Child Abduction Recovery Effort Team (CARE) began in Harrisburg this morning (September 26, 2013). The CRT and CARE teams are responding to a 'mock child abduction' in the area of the Hilton Hotel. As far as the officers are concerned, they are treating this training exercise as if it is the real thing. The training, which is being coordinated with the FBI, will continue throughout the day today. Again the District Attorney's Office wishes to advise the public that this is a training exercise. However, should members of the community have concerns about something that they observe and wish to ensure it is part of the training exercise, they should call 911 as they would in any emergency situation.
On September 27 at 1 P.M., at the Dauphin County Courthouse (lobby), a press conference will be held to discuss the components of the training and the objectives of the exercise.
