District Attorney Announces Joint Training Exercise for County Crisis Response and Child Abuduction Teams
The Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office would like to make the public aware that on September 25th and 26th, a joint training exercise will be conducted by the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team (CRT) and the Dauphin County Child Abduction Response Effort (CARE) Team. The training, which is being coordinated with the FBI, involves a mock abduction of a child within the City of Harrisburg, in the area of the Hilton Hotel. The Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office is issuing this press release to the public so as to not alarm citizens who may observe efforts by law enforcement during the course of the two-day exercise.
Should members of the community have concerns about something that they observe and wish to ensure that it is part of the exercise, they should contact 911 as they would in any emergency situation.
On September 27th at 1:30 P.M., at the Dauphin County Courthouse (lobby), a press conference will be held to discuss the components of the training and the objectives of the exercise.
