Today, a Dauphin County jury convicted Nafiisah McNeill, age 28,of third-degree murder for the December 25, 2020 killing of Leon White-Jones. McNeill stabbed White-Jones to death in front of her sister's home in the 2400 block of North 4th Street in the City of Harrisburg. The jury rejected the defendant's claim of self=defense. After the killing, McNeill fled and then entered her sister's home while the police were present. Prior to her return to the home, McNeill disposed of the knife. Chief Deputy District Attorney Sarah M. Phillips and Deputy District Attorney Paige A. Perrucci prosecuted the case. The prosecutors credited the outstanding investigation of Harrisburg Bureau of Police Detective Nina Maus. Judge Scott Arthur Evans scheduled sentencing for September 9, 2022.
