On Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at about 7:25 pm, a Hit & Run crash occurred at the intersection of West Governor Road and Hockersville Road. The suspect vehicle is a dark blue or black Chevrolet Equinox and should have damage on the driver's side or left side towards the front of the vehicle. It appears as though the driver's side front lighting assembly was crushed or damaged during the crash. It may also have red transfer paint from the car it struck before fleeing. The registration plate may start with the characters 'GX' and end with the number '2'. After the crash with the other vehicle at the intersection, the suspect vehicle fled on several side streets and was last seen traveling East on West Areba Avenue from Mill Street (see attached map with path fled in yellow). The other vehicle was disabled as a result of the crash and a witness was able to follow the suspect vehicle and capture the attached photo at the intersection of Hillcrest Road and Cedar Avenue. While the quality of the photograph is not great, we are hoping somebody can put together the pieces included in this post and provide us with a tip where we can find the fleeing vehicle and driver. If you have any information, you are asked to call (717) 524-2202 and ask for Officer Klinger. You can also submit an anonymous tip by clicking on the tip submission button below.
