The Derry Township Police are investigating thefts from vehicles that occurred in the overnight hours between September 1st and 2nd, 2020 in the areas of Oak Lane, Linden Road, and Hockersville Rd. A resident was walking her dog shortly after 3:30 am and saw two male teenagers enter her neighbor's vehicle. The suspects were described as thin build, dark hair, and wearing black shorts. The resident said the suspects did not appear to have shoes on. The suspects fled and she called police.
Police searched the area and did not locate the suspects. Other vehicles were discovered to have been entered and their owners were notified. In most cases the vehicles were left unlocked by the owner.
Neighboring jurisdictions in Lebanon County reported similar activity. No suspect descriptions were obtained in their cases however a resident did report seeing a maroon sedan driving without its headlights on in the area of the reported vehicle break-ins.
