Accreditation

The Derry Township Police Department is proud to be a dually accredited police agency. We have maintained international accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA®) since 1997 and state accreditation through the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC) since 2002. 

We are recognized as a CALEA Meritorious Agency, which is a designation awarded to agencies who have been accredited for 15 or more years. 

In 2022, we were awarded Premier Agency Status from PLEAC. This is granted to agencies who have been re-accredited five times without provisions or an extension.
