On July 31, 2016 the Halifax Community Pool reported a break-in and theft from the concession stand located inside the pool complex.Candy, soda, and money were taken during the course of the burglary. Through a complete investigation and many community tips a suspect was identified as Dustin E. CAMACHO, 21yoa, of Halifax. CAMACHO was interviewed on August 16th by Halifax Police were CAMACHO admitted to the burglary. On August 17th William E. CLAPP 28yo of Haifax was arrested by Halifax Police for the burglary of the Halifax Community Pool and was interviewed by Police were he gave a full confession. Both were arraigned at Dauphin County Booking and were remanded to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $25,000 Straight bail.
During questioning by the Halifax Police both also admitted to the burglary and theft of candy and soda from the Halifax Bait Shop located on North Front Street. This incident was being handled by the Pennsylvania State Police, Lykens Barracks who subsequently filed charges for that incident.
