On May 9, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Ian James was arrested for several outstanding warrants from both the City of Harrisburg and New York State.
Ian James was observed walking in the 1400 block of Market Street. When Harrisburg Officers approached James, he initially provided a false name and ID card from New Jersey. James was also smoking a marijuana blunt. He eventually admitted that his real name was Ian James. He was detained without further incident.
James had a warrant from Harrisburg Police for Strangulation, Simple Assault and Terroristic Threats. The warrant was issued in March of 2018 after James attacked his former girlfriend. He had left the scene prior to police arrival.
James was wanted out of New York State for Grand Larceny in regards to a check-cashing scheme and is facing possible extradition. James was also charged with Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
