On January 29, 2018, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Harrisburg Police was dispatched to a violent domestic incident on the 600 block of Boas Street. A resident of the building initially called to report hearing her neighbor yelling for help. Before Officers arrived on scene, another call came in, this time from the victim, who stated that her boyfriend choked her and had left the scene.
Upon arrival Officers made contact with the victim who stated that her boyfriend Corey Morris was angry. He held her down on a chair as he straddled her body with his legs and held her down with his left hand on her throat. He held her down by her throat for approximately a minute. The victim had red marks on her throat where she stated he was holding her. She had a raspy voice and stated that she had a hard time breathing while he was strangling her. While he was strangling her, Morris stated " This will be the last day you're on this earth".
Corey Morris was arrested approximately two blocks from the building and subsequently charged with Strangulation and Terroristic Threats.
