On July 26, 2018, at approximately 8:28 p.m., Terry Osborne was arrested for kidnapping, threatening, and assaulting an ex-girlfriend.
On July 25, 2018, the victim and a family member were walking along the 1400 block of Regina Street when Osborne ran out of a residence, picked up the victim and threw her over his shoulder. He took the victim back to the residence and forced her into the apartment. As the victim kicked and screamed, Osborne ripped her clothes off of her body and strangled her for approximately 30 seconds. Osborne screamed at the victim, telling her that she was going to die that night. He beat the victim over the head with the handles of a hatchet and a butcher knife. The victim sustained lacerations to her hand trying to grab the knife away from him. Osborne held the knife to the victim’s throat and threatened to kill her. Eventually, Osborne’s mother came upstairs and after some time, the victim was able to leave the residence. The victim had bruising on her arms, legs, back, and neck, as well as scratch marks on her neck, chest, and right arm.
Terry Osborne was charged with Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, Unlawful Restraint, Terroristic Threats, Possession of Instrument of Crime, and Strangulation.
