On 11/05/17 at 0208 hours, The Harrisburg Police responded to 1917 Market Street for a report of an assault. The initial caller advised that the neighbor came into her apartment and was bleeding from the chest.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the caller and the victim. The victim was bleeding badly but still was conscious and sitting in a chair. The victim related that he was stabbed and the individual who stabbed him was on the 3rd floor. Officers checked the 3rd floor and located Ronnell Sanford, who had blood on his feet. Sanford was detained but later arrested.
It was determined that the victim and Sanford were in a domestic relationship. They were together tonight in Sanford’s 3rd floor apartment. An argument ensued, which turned physical. The victim, claims he began collecting his personnel items to leave when he was attacked and stabbed by Sanford.
The victim sustained a puncture wound to the upper left chest from being stabbed and a superficial wound to the left wrist. The victim was transported to Hershey Medical for treatment and is listed in stable condition and is expected to recover from the injuries.
