On 10/25/2017 at 0050 hours, Harrisburg Police responded to a disturbance on the 1200 block of N. 15th Street. The caller stated that he saw someone break into his car and chased him down. The caller now had the suspect on the ground at 16th and Cumberland.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals hold a third male on the ground. The parties were separated and one of the males identified himself as the caller. The caller stated that he was sitting in his vehicle smoking when he saw three individuals walk past him. He then saw a light come on in the vehicle in front of him which is owned by his brother. He called his brother who verified that no one should be in his vehicle. The caller confronted the suspects, one of which was in the vehicle. All three fled from the vehicle. The caller and his brother chased after the one that was in the vehicle. This male was later identified as Samier Walker. Both individuals caught and confronted Walker on Cumberland Street where Walker grabbed a log from the ground and swung it at the brothers. The brothers were able to subdue Walker and kept him on the ground until police arrived.
The other two suspects fled the area. They were described as the following:
Suspect 1 was approximately 6-foot-tall, black, male, wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood and black pants. He appeared to be slender.
Suspect 2 was approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall, black, female, wearing all black and also slender.
