On Friday November 5th 2021, at about 6:00pm, the Harrisburg Police responded to the 100 block of South 13th Street for a report of a juvenile male that had been shot. Upon arrival officers located a juvenile that was being tended to by EMS, and suffering from a gunshot wound(s). The juvenile was transported to a local hospital, where days later they died as a result of their injuries.

UPDATE - Wednesday November 10th 2021:
As of Wednesday November 10th the Harrisburg Police have spoken to all persons of interest that they have currently identified. The investigation is ongoing at this time, and the Harrisburg Police expect to release additional details in the coming days.
At this time the Harrisburg Police believe this incident is to be isolated, and have no reason to believe there is an associated danger and/or threat to the community.
UPDATE - Tuesday November 30th 2021:
On Monday November 29th the Harrisburg Police charged and arrested a juvenile male in connection to this incident. The case is currently in the Juvenile Justice System.
