On Saturday December 8, 2018, at approximately 4:53 p.m., Officers responded to the Rite Aid located at 2103 N 3rd Street for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with employees and customers. Employees advised that three individuals came into the store. One suspect stayed at the front of the store while the other two went to the pharmacy in the rear and jumped the counter. One suspect hit the pharmacist over the head with his gun. The suspect then demanded that the pharmacist give him Oxy’s. The pharmacist said there were none and in turn gave the suspect around 2000 Hydrocodone pills. The three suspects then fled the store. The pharmacist suffered a minor contusion to the back of his head. There were ten customers in the store at the time of the incident.
All three suspects were wearing gloves and masks, and also carried firearms. Suspect #1 was wearing a dark jacket, ripped and faded jeans, and very distinct sky-blue Nike shoes with a white sole and white “Swoosh” symbol. Suspect #2 was also wearing a dark jacket, ripped jeans, and black and white running shoes. Suspect #3 was wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt over a white long-sleeve T-shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information that leads to successful prosecution in this case.
