On December 31, 2017 at approximately 1:30 AM, officers of the Harrisburg Police responded to the 1900 block of Brookwood Street for the report of a gunshot victim. Officers arrived and encountered a vehicle with a gunshot victim in the driver’s seat, who was unresponsive. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Keynen Guider. Officers also encountered a second victim on the porch of residence on the same block, who also had a gunshot wound. Both victims were in the vehicle when it was fired upon. Guider was transported to Harrisburg Hospital and pronounced deceased. The other victim was taken to Hershey Medical Center and was taken into surgery. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Harrisburg Police or submit the information through Crime Watch.
