On Tuesday January 14th, at about 7:30pm, the Harrisburg Police responded to the 300 block of Hummel Street for a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival they located an adult male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower extremities. The victim was transported to a local hospital for emergency care and an investigation was immediately initiated. The initial investigation revealed that an attempted robbery was taking place when the victim was shot. The suspect(s) fled the area prior to police arrival. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
