On Saturday March 29th, at about 5:45pm, the Harrisburg Police responded to the area of North 6th and Schuylkill Streets for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located multiple spent shell casings. The area was searched, and no gunshot victims were located. Property damage was reported, and an investigation was initiated. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
On Sunday March 30th, at about 6:00pm, the Harrisburg Police responded to the area of Reel and Seneca Streets for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and were provided a description of one of the shooters. Officers saturated the area and observed a person matching the suspect's description. The suspect was observed behind a business placing something into a pile of leaves. The suspect was eventually detained and upon checking the pile of leaves, officers located a pistol with an extended magazine. The suspect, a juvenile, was charged with firearms offenses.
