Graze wound from a shooting
On 7/23/2017 at 0244 hours, Harrisburg Police responded to area of Court and Cranberry Streets, to investigate gunshots in the area. Officers heard additional gunshots coming from the area of Pine and Court Streets and responded to investigate them as well. A search of both areas did not reveal a crime scene or any victims. At 0301 hours, Police were advised that a gunshot victim had walked into the Harrisburg Hospital ER.
The victim indicated that he was in the area waiting to get something to eat. He observed fight in the 200 block of Pine Street and walked up to “be nosey”. He reported that several gunshots were fired, from unknown males and he was struck in the abdomen. He then walked past several officers on his way to the hospital but did not notify any of them that he witnesses the shooting or that he was injured.
The victim suffered a grazing wound to the center of his abdomen and would not answer any further questions about the shooting.
