John Harris high school lockdown
On February 17 at 1045 hours, Harrisburg Police responded to John Harris High School for a weapons call. The high school had been locked down by the administration after an allegation that a gun was possessed by a student on school property. Harrisburg Police and surrounding jurisdictions responded, conducted a partial search of the school and investigated the allegation concerning the weapon. After further investigation and interviews it was determined that there was no need for additional lockdown for investigative or safety purposes. No evidence was found, no charges have been filed. A police presence remained at the school and is monitoring dismissal.
