Mental Health Incident
On October 8, 2018, at approximately 5:27 p.m., Harrisburg Police Officers responded to the Townehouse Apartments at 660 Boas Street for a report of an intoxicated male threating suicide. The male had been speaking to Crisis Intervention throughout the day and ultimately made threats to shoot himself. he also stated that he would shoot any officer or EMS worker that came to his door. The Dauphin County Crisis Response Team (CERT) was activated and arrived at the scene at 7 p.m. At 8:39 p.m., CERT detained the male, who was then taken to the hospital for a medical commitment without further incidence.
