Overturned Vehicle Found In The River
On 11/25/17 at 0251 hours, the Harrisburg Police were advised that a vehicle was in the Susquehanna River on Front Street at MaClay Street. Capital Police and Dauphin County Sheriffs responded and found an overturned pickup truck in the water. Officers struggled with trying to extract the occupants out of the vehicle until the Harrisburg Fire Department arrived with additional equipment. Both occupants were removed from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Both individuals are expected to recover from their injuries.
The initial investigation indicates that the pickup was travelling west on MaClay Street travelling towards Front Street. The vehicle went over the embankment and landed on its roof.
