Residence Fire

On October 1, 2018, at 5:04 a.m., Harrisburg Police Officers responded to a call on the 2800 block of Wilson Parkway regarding a structure fire.  When they arrived on scene, smoke could be seen coming from the residence.  Officers made entry and found one of the residents, a male in his 50s, just inside the door. Several Officers evacuated the male from the home. It was learned that the male’s elderly mother was still inside. Officers attempted to make their way to her but were unable to due to the heat and heavy smoke.

Harrisburg Fire arrived on scene and removed the mother from the residence.  Both she and her son were transported to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment.  The fire appeared to have originated in the southeast corner of the basement.  No other buildings sustained damage.
