UPDATE - Pedestrian Struck

UPDATE: Harrisburg Police are seeking information regarding a vehicle involved in a incident of a pedestrian being struck. The incident occurred on November 26, 2018, at approximately 5:05 p.m.  The vehicle is believed to be a Ford van, most likely a Ford Windstar, model year 1999-2003, unknown color. The van in question would have a damaged headlight.

On November 26, 2018 at 5:06 p.m., Harrisburg Police responded to the area of S. 3rd & Chestnut Streets for a report of a pedestrian struck.  Officers arrived and found a 51-year-old female lying unresponsive with traumatic injuries.  The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital as officers searched the area for witnesses. 

Through the investigation it was determined that the victim was crossing S. 3rd Street when the pedestrian crossing light indicated that she could.  A vehicle travelling east bound failed to stop at the red light striking the victim.  This vehicle fled east on the Mulberry Street Bridge.
