The Uniform Patrol Division (UPD) responded to 20,052 calls for service- 152 fewer than in the 2nd quarter. In collaboration with other agencies, UPD also conducted 12 saturation details aimed at reducing gun violence within the City. Notably, there were no homicides this quarter.
In August, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police hosted its National Night out at Strawberry Square, which reinforced connections between Officers and local residents. As part of the Gun Violence Investigation and Prosecution (GVIP) grant to improve community security, 29 light fixtures and 76 cameras were installed at residences. Additionally, Community Service Aides (CSAs) continued to assist with providing resources to the unhoused population.
