The Women Warriors of the Harrisburg Police Department are leading the charge for two animal rescue groups this year, Speranza and the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area. A donation bin was placed at Abrams and Weakley General Store for Animals, located at 3963 N 6th Street, and also Keystone K9, located at 147 N. Cameron St. These local businesses are as passionate about animals and animal rescue as we are.
You may also drop donations off at the Harrisburg Police Station, located at 123 Walnut Street in downtown Harrisburg.
The Women of the Harrisburg Police will also be at the Broad Street Market, located at 1233 N 3rd Street in the Midtown, on Saturday November 28th from 11:00 AM to 2:00PM. We will be there collect donations and speak to the public about the cause.
Please help and support our furry friends that have been abandoned neglected and abused. There are many of these neglected animals that come from the city.
Items being collected are listed on the bins in the photos.
Abrams and Weakley will give an additional 20% off any gift cards from their store to Speranza! You can call them (717)-585-0060 or Email abrams.weakley@gmail.com
All donations must be received by December 13, 2020.
Please contact Cpl. Teresa Covey, Tcovey@Harrisburgpa.gov, with any questions about the event.
