The Harrisburg Police have recently received an increase in notifications pertaining to businesses receiving emailed invoices purporting to be from the Planning Commission. The emails and invoices advise that a fee for application review and approval is required to streamline and maintain the timeline necessary to complete the process. The invoices include instructions and information on wire transfers for these payments. These emails and invoices are scams and are not from the City of Harrisburg’s Planning Commission. If you receive a similar email, please report it to Ofc. Howell at the Harrisburg Police at mshowell@harrisburgpa.gov. If you need to verify the legitimacy of any email from the Planning Commission, you can do so by emailing the City Planning Director at gknight@harrisburgpa.gov.
