On December 14, 2019, several police departments will partner with the Harrisburg Police Athletic League (HPAL) to participate in the annual “Shop with a Cop” program. (Note - this program is only for registered PAL members that have been registered since last year.) Approximately $15,000 was raised this year through fundraising and donations. The event starts and ends at the Heinz-Menaker Senior Center, 1824 N 4th St Harrisburg. Police and other law enforcement officers will be partnered with children from the community (pre-registered participants) and will head out to Walmart, on Rt 322, to purchase Christmas presents for the child’s family.
