On Thursday November 9th 2017, An officer was at the intersection of Ligan Street and Second Street making a left hand turn, when he observed a silver Chrysler 200 traveling West on Second Street, swerve into the center lane and continue in the center lane.
While the officer was following the vehicle, he observed the vehicle was traveling at approximately 65 miles an hour. The driver did move back to the travel lane for a second or two before moving back to the center lane to avoid colliding with a tractor trailer.
By the time the vehicle was in the 100 Block of Second Street, it was nearly going 70 miles per hour. The officer conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver, Shawn Bocek, was taken into custody for DUI.
