While in the area of Second Street and Race Street, the officer observed a silver Hummer H3 with the vehicle's registration plate light not working.
The officer conducted a traffic stop. After making contact with the driver, Harry Sopp III, he admitted that his driver's license was suspended.
The passengers were identified as Harry Sopp Jr. and the rear seat passenger as Desmond Brown.
During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Sopp Jr. admitted that his son gave a small rubber container with THC wax inside. He also stated that it was located between the front passenger seat between the seat and center console.
Mr. Soop III admitted to possessing the small rubber container with the THC wax inside. .
The officer recovered a small yellow and black rubber container containing a small amount of THC wax inside. No other Act 64 evidence was recovered.
The rear seat passenger, Desmond Brown, admitted to possessing a small marijuana joint inside the rim of his ball cap.
Harry Sopp III was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Brown was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
