On 11/24/2017, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford truck for the registration being suspended. While the officer was talking to the driver, John Dellinger II, he could smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle While the officer was interviewing Mr. Dellinger, he admitted that he had smoked marijuana earlier. He also admitted that there was a small amount of marijuana inside the truck's center console. The officer recovered a clear plastic baggie with a small amount of marijuana inside and 5 marijuana roaches from inside the truck's ashtray.
The truck was parked and Mr. Dellinger was allowed to leave. A criminal complaint for simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed at a later date.
