MEGAN'S LAW NOTIFICATION
The Highspire Borough Police Department encourages all residents to be aware of sexually violent predators living and working in our community. The Pennsylvania State Police has created a website to provide information to the public on registered sex offenders who reside, attend school, or who are employed within this Commonwealth. Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law, 42 P.A.C.S. § 9799.1, requires the State Police to create and maintain a registry of persons who resides, work/carry on a plea of guilty to, or adjudicated delinquent of certain sex offenses in Pennsylvania or another jurisdiction. Additionally, the Pennsylvania State Police is required to make certain information on registered sex offenders available to the public through an Internet website. The Pennsylvania State Police has established this website according to the requirements of 42 P.A.C.S. § 9799.1. To search this website for offenders, visit: PA Megan’s Law.
