On September 29, 2018, Lower Paxton Police were dispatched to CVS, 5001 Jonestown Rd., for a female attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. The woman was last seen leaving in a U-Haul truck. Officers spotted the truck and conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Sunoco on the corner of Prince St. Nicholas Lewis and Carmen Rendon were found inside the passenger compartment. Gerald Augustine and Breanna Acosta-Flowers were found in the cargo area. A search of the truck revealed numerous receipts and merchandise indicating counterfeit $100 bills were used at several local stores. All four were taken into custody and taken to the Dauphin County Booking Center to be processed and arraigned. Bail was set at $25,000 each and they are currently in Dauphin County Prison awaiting a preliminary hearing.
