On October 7 at approximately 9:30pm, Lower Paxton Police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Constitution Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Scott Cooper and learned that he had been involved in an altercation with his girlfriend.
Officers made contact with the victim and learned that she had been physically assaulted by Cooper during an argument. The victim reported that Cooper threw her to the ground and placed his hands on her neck - which caused her to have difficulty breathing. The victim had injuries that were consistent with the assault she had described. During the assault, Cooper allegedly threatened to shoot the victim with a pistol that he owns and keeps inside the residence.
Cooper was arrested and arraigned on charges of Strangulation, Simple Assault and Terroristic Threats. He was placed in Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
