On 10/30/19 at approximately 8:00PM Lower Paxton Township Police responded to 5200 block of Earl Dr. for a found dog call. While trying to locate the dog's owner, Officers observed smoke coming from an apartment. Officers made entry and discovered a fire inside. It was determined that the fire had been intentionally set. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found during a search of the apartment. On 11/5/19, Adam Fortney was arrested and charged with Arson, Recklessly Endangering another Person and Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana. Fortney was arraigned at Night Court and placed in Dauphin County Prison on $150,000 bail.
