On Sunday, 2/14/21, at about 4:11 PM, Lower Paxton Police were dispatched to the area of Oxford and Coventry Rds. for a report of a black Ford Explorer driving recklessly. Upon arrival, officers found the driver, Matthew Mihalov, unresponsive behind the wheel. Mihalov eventually came around but refused to get out of his car and sped off. During the short pursuit, Mihalov struck a marked police vehicle. Officers used a precision immobilization technique to bring Mihalov to a stop. He attempted to drive away again and struck another marked police unit. Officers were able to take Mihalov into custody at this point. Mihalov was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of DUI, Resisting Arrest, Fleeing and Eluding, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended, Reckless Driving, and Stop Sign violations. He was arraigned and placed into Dauphin County Prison after failing to post bail.
