On January 3, 2023, at approximately 9:39 AM, the Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police were dispatched to 2407 Kensington Way after a resident, identified as Nofil Swati, called 911 and asked for an officer to respond the address to take a report about an online threat. Upon arrival, the officer approached the front door and attempted to contact Swati, when the officer heard what sounded like a single gunshot from inside the home. Additional officers responded and maintained a perimeter on the home. Officers made several attempts to speak with Swati, who was initially unresponsive and uncooperative. Officers eventually made verbal contact with Swati, however, he refused to come out of the residence. At approximately 11:15 AM, Swati exited the home voluntarily and was taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries reported during this incident. Swati was arraigned at the Dauphin County Judicial Center and bail was denied. Swati is currently at Dauphin Co Prison awaiting his Preliminary Hearing.
