On Saturday, 3/14/20, at approximately 9:17PM, Lower Paxton Township Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 Honda Accord bearing a New Jersey Temp Tag for inoperable headlights. The driver, Robert Valdez-Pena and passenger, Kerlin Rodriguez Montes De Oca, were from different states, could not provide consistent stories to the investigating officers on scene and the identifications given to the officers were from different states, including a suspended driver's license. Pursuant a thorough roadside investigation, numerous factors were present indicating that criminal activity was afoot. Consent was given to search the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, 35 fraudulent credit / debit cards under 19 different identities were found inside the vehicle. Robert Valdez-Pena was arrested for possessing 35 fraudulent credit / debit cards under 19 different identities. Valdez-Pena was arraigned and committed to Dauphin County Prison on $100,000.00 bail.
