The Lower Paxton Police Department is seeking the public's help in the identification of a "quick change scam" suspect.
On June 22, Lower Paxton Police were dispatched to the Karns grocery store. Upon speaking to the manager, officers learned that a male suspect entered the store on June 19 and purchased a soda with a $100 bill.
As the young cashier began to count the suspect's change, the suspect requested specific denominations. As is common in quick change scams, the suspect then engaged the cashier in a quick series of money exchanges. The young cashier ended up providing the male with $501 in change. The suspect then left the store with the money and his soda.
