Theft from Vehicles

On 06/03/2019 at 6:20 am, the Lower Paxton Police were dispatched to the area of the 4500 blk of Berkley St. for a theft from a motor vehicle.  An investigation in conjunction with further calls revealed at least 16 different vehicles had been opening and rummaged through in the area overnight.  At this time the Lower Paxton Police Dept. is requesting any and all information that can be provided by the public in reference to these vehicle break-ins.  If you have a video home security system, live within a few blocks of the two listed addresses and would like to provide the Police Department with security footage please contact the office at (717) 657-5656 during normal business hours.  If you have any information on this incident please call the office or leave an anonymous tip on this website.  Please reference 19-0009559.  The Police Department would also like to remind citizens to lock their vehicles and homes especially at night.  As the weather warms up, so do instances of car break-ins.  The best way to avoid being a victim is to not leave any valuables in your vehicle (especially if they are visible), and to lock your doors when you are not around.
