As the new Public Safety Director, I am thrilled to lead the delivery of public safety services in Lower Paxton Township, under the direction of the Board of Supervisors.
I am a seasoned public safety professional with over 40 years experience, starting as a volunteer firefighter in Dillsburg. Before coming to Lower Paxton, I was the Chief of Police in Mechanicsburg for almost 16 years. The Lower Paxton Public Safety Director position is a homecoming of sorts for me, as I have lived in the Township for over 20 years.
Being a long-time resident of the Township, I know we have great public safety services. Lower Paxton possesses an accredited, well regarded Police Department; three active, community engaged Fire Companies – Linglestown, Colonial Park and Paxtonia; and professionally delivered EMS services through South Central EMS.
While all service providers play a vital role in public safety, the most visible daily component is the Lower Paxton Township Police Department. Police Officers are and should always be guardians of the constitution. They are crucial in creating and maintaining an environment of safety for everyone. The men and women, both sworn and non-sworn, of the Police Department work tirelessly to safeguard our citizens and uphold the rights of all.
For all citizens, my pledge to you is that we will work hard to continue to deliver high quality public safety services at a reasonable cost to our taxpayers. I am honored to serve as your Director of Public Safety.
