Charity Patches for Sale

April is National Child Abuse Awareness month.  This year, during the month of April, the Lower Paxton Police Department will be teaming up with the Joe Allegrini Children’s Hero Fund to raise awareness about child abuse and assist those in our community that need our help.

Throughout the month of April, special Joe Allegrini Children’s Hero/LPPD patches will be on sale at the LPPD front desk.  The patches (see attached picture) are $10.00 and purchases must be made in cash.  All proceeds will go to the Children’s Hero Fund.

Joe Allegrini was a detective with the Lower Paxton Twp. Police Department who tragically passed away while serving his community.  Det. Allegrini was an advocate and champion for abused children throughout the Harrisburg area, and was instrumental in the creation of the CAC (Children’s Advocacy Center).  After his passing, the Fund which bears his name was created to continue that mission.

The Lower Paxton Police Department is proud of its association with the Children’s Hero Fund and we hope that, together, we can combat child abuse in our community.
